Terms and Conditions for FamVio

1. Introduction

FamVio is a mobile application designed to help families organize everyday life through calendars, tasks, shopping lists, kitchen inventory, notifications, and family workspaces. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of FamVio on iOS and Android.

By using FamVio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create and manage your own FamVio account. Children may use child accounts only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. User Accounts

You may create or access an account using supported login methods, including email and password, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in. Family managers may also create child accounts for use within a family workspace.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated where needed.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create security, legal, or operational risk.

4. Family Workspaces

FamVio supports both personal use and family workspaces. In a family workspace, shared content may be visible to other active family members according to their role and access level.

Family owners and managers are responsible for inviting members, managing child accounts, and ensuring that family members have permission to participate in the workspace. If a family is deleted, members leave, or accounts are deleted, related data may be moved, detached, deleted, or reassigned as part of the app's family management logic.

5. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FamVio for personal and household organization. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or its services except where allowed by applicable law.

6. User Content

You keep ownership of the content you add to FamVio, such as tasks, events, shopping lists, kitchen inventory, names, and profile images. By adding content, you give us the limited rights needed to store, sync, display, process, and transmit that content so the app can function.

You are responsible for the content you add and must not upload or share unlawful, harmful, infringing, abusive, or misleading content.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

FamVio offers a free standard plan and may offer paid Plus and Premium subscription plans. Paid features, prices, billing periods, and availability may vary by platform, country, and store.

We do not process card payments directly and do not store full payment card details. Refunds, cancellations, billing issues, and subscription management are handled by the store where the purchase was made, subject to that store's terms and policies.

9. Notifications and Emails

FamVio may send in-app notifications, push notifications, and email notifications for reminders, family activity, invites, and morning updates, depending on your settings and the feature being used. You can manage notification preferences in the app. Some transactional emails, such as family invites or important account-related messages, may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.

10. Intellectual Property

FamVio, including its name, logo, design, code, features, and other app materials, is owned by GBT Solutions AS or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not use FamVio's intellectual property without prior written permission, except as necessary to use the app normally.

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of FamVio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, protect, and delete personal data.

We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use analytics tracking. We use trusted service providers such as Firebase and Google Cloud, Apple, Google Play, Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, and Mailtrap to operate the app.

12. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, improve, remove, or change features over time. Some features may depend on platform services, subscriptions, internet access, store availability, or third-party infrastructure.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but FamVio may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, platform changes, or circumstances outside our control.

13. Termination and Account Deletion

You may delete your account from the app or contact us for help. Account deletion may remove or detach your personal data and may affect family workspace content depending on your role and the current family state.

Deleting your FamVio account does not automatically cancel active App Store or Google Play subscriptions. You are responsible for canceling active subscriptions through the store where the subscription was purchased.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

FamVio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, except where required by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the competent Norwegian courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of FamVio after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
