1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how FamVio, operated by GBT Solutions AS, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the FamVio mobile app and related services. We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR where it applies.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide FamVio's account, family, planning, notification, and subscription features. This may include:
- Account information, such as name, email address, authentication provider, language preference, and account type.
- Profile information you choose to provide, such as profile photo, avatar color, date of birth, or gender.
- Family workspace information, including family name, members, roles, invites, child accounts, and family login details for child accounts.
- Content you create in the app, such as tasks, events, shopping lists, kitchen inventory items, categories, and favorites.
- Notification information, such as notification preferences, quiet hours, time zone, push notification tokens, and in-app notification history.
- Subscription information, such as plan tier, plan status, product identifiers, purchase tokens, transaction identifiers, renewal state, and expiry dates.
- Uploaded images, such as profile pictures or child account profile pictures.
- Technical information processed by our infrastructure providers, such as device identifiers, app integrity checks, IP addresses, and authentication/security logs.
FamVio does not show ads, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not use analytics tracking. We do not request precise device location. Time zone information may be used for reminders, quiet hours, and morning updates.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Provide personal and family workspaces.
- Sync shared content such as calendars, tasks, shopping lists, and kitchen inventory.
- Send family invites, reminders, notifications, and optional email updates.
- Manage subscription access and verify purchases through Apple and Google.
- Support account deletion, family deletion, leaving a family, and related cleanup actions.
- Maintain app security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service issues.
- Improve FamVio's reliability and user experience.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data for advertising purposes.
Some data is shared within your family workspace so the app can function. For example, family members may see shared events, assigned tasks, shared lists, profile names, and profile pictures.
We use trusted service providers to operate FamVio:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent abuse or security issues.
5. Subscriptions and Payment Data
FamVio subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We store subscription-related identifiers and status information needed to verify purchases and provide access to paid features.
6. Data Security
We use authenticated access, Firebase security rules, App Check, encrypted transport, and access controls to help protect your personal data. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to limit access to the data needed to operate and support the service.
7. Children's Privacy
FamVio is designed for family use. Child accounts may be created and managed by an adult family member. Children should use FamVio only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children independently of a parent or guardian-managed family account.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account data and app content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account in the app, we delete or detach the account data and related content according to the account and family state.
Some records may be retained for a limited time where necessary for security, legal, subscription, or operational reasons. Read in-app notifications and digest markers are periodically cleaned up, and old notifications are removed after a retention period.

9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
